Thomas Detry 22/1

Is Detry ever going to win on a major tour?

I don’t know, but if he’s going to this is his best chance every year. He loves this event and course so much he mentioned in the fall that he planned on moving to Puntacana. I’m not sure if he’s made that move yet but for a player with all of the talent to win multiple times globally the key is finding comfort and he has that here.

T33, T33, T13, T15 in four career starts and arriving as a certified PGA Tour member for the first time.

Ben Martin 29/1

Was his tournament to lose last year, and lose it he did. But, that was a second consecutive strong finish in this event after a T9 in 2021. His career resurgence has continued into the new year with a T13 at Pebble and T5 at Honda. Gaining consistently with his ball striking of late and has repeatedly shown an affinity for these surfaces.

Chad Ramey 35/1

Why can’t Ramey win again here, as he arrives in much better form than he did last year?

That’s actually about as complex as the analysis is going to get on this one as he has consecutive Top 30 finishes and the putter has been consistently hot pretty much all year. There’s major question marks for almost every player in the field, but with Ramey we don’t have to question his ability to win here and we know the form is solid enough.

Cody Gribble 80/1

Gribble broke onto the scene winning in short order on Tour in 2016, but has done very little of note since. However, the tides may be changing after a T7 finish in Puerto Rico and another T7 last week at the Valspar where he continued a stretch of vastly improved driving. He’s more than capable of getting hot with the putter which we saw last week ranking 5th in the field. There’s very few Tour winners in this range in the field, and we’ll take one who appears to be ascending back towards that form.
